Meeting Room AExplore the remarkable technology that keeps astronauts safe, supplied, and thriving hundreds of miles above Earth.
What does it take for humans to survive in space? Much more than you might think. This presentation by local NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Carol Abbott will explore the many vital resources that are needed for humans to live aboard the International Space Station. These include resupply of essential materials, recycling of air and water, and exposure to cosmic radiation. All of these and more would also be required for long-term interplanetary voyages to the Moon and Mars.
