Learn how and when to mount a fundraiser, how to identify stakeholders and what social and financial value the event will bring to the community, and how partnerships might augment your event.

Susan Urano, Executive Director of the Athens County Foundation and author of The Community Table,discusses her recent book, which translates years of nonprofit experience with large-scale annual fundraisers into a step-by-step guide for development professionals, community leaders, and volunteers. The book highlights the annual “Bounty on the Bricks” event, a touchstone event in the Athens community that raises close to one hundred thousand dollars for the food bank.The Community Table Book Cover

Learn how and when to mount a fundraiser, how to identify stakeholders and what social and financial value the event will bring to the community, and how partnerships might augment the payoff.

This free event is open to individuals and to business and non-profit organization groups: register now to reserve space for yourself or your party. 

Copies of The Community Table will be available for sale, courtesy of the author. Each book is $25.00; cash or check is accepted.

About the Presenter:

Susan Urano has directed four nonprofit organizations and has served on numerous nonprofit and statewide boards. She has been the Executive Director of the Athens County Foundation for fifteen years.
