Enjoy an evening in the beautiful atrium of the Pickerington Main Library experiencing this unique blend of folk-based music genres.
Hungrytown consists of lyricist Rebecca Hall and instrumentalist Ken Anderson and is an artistic sound hybrid with roots in folk music. Hall began her career as a jazz singer and Anderson as a drummer for psychedelic pop bands. They were introduced to folk music later when a close friend passed away and entrusted them with her collection of 1960s folk albums and her guitar. This guitar can be heard on all of Hungrytown’s albums.
Hungrytown has released three albums: Hungrytown (2007), Any Forgotten Thing (2011), and Further West (2015). They currently spend about half of each year touring. They have received extensive radio airplay and have appeared on several television shows, including The Daily Show and Portlandia.
