At a Death Cafe, attendees are invited to an open, thoughtful conversation about death in a welcoming and judgment-free space.
Death Cafe is an international nonprofit movement that began in the UK, with the mission “to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives.” These conversations remove the stigma surrounding the topic of death and dying. This event will be led by Diane Callahan, a local author and curator of an upcoming art exhibition on death and dying at Urban Arts Space. Join us for an open, thoughtful conversation about death in a welcoming and judgment-free space. Death Café is a facilitated discussion where people—regardless of background or belief—can come together to share perspectives, ask questions, and reflect on the meaning and reality of death. This is not a grief support group or counseling session, but rather an opportunity to explore a topic that touches all lives. Light refreshments will be provided.
