Join Thurber House and comic creator Carl Lucas to learn the ins and outs of comics, graphic novels, and manga—and learn how to create your own!

From classics like Maus or Fun Home to popular favorites like Heartstopper, Naruto, or Lore Olympus, graphic novels are fun to read and literarily engaging. We are partnering with Thurber House and local comic artist Carl Lucas to showcase the many formats of graphic literature, discuss the rich history of comics, and gain the skills to read and discuss them like a pro! Plus, you'll have the chance to put these new skills into action with hands-on character creation.
