Learn how to create a comic, start to finish!
Do you have an idea for a comic, but have no idea where to start? Love the idea of making a comic, but feel your art isn't "good enough"? Join Jess in learning what goes into making a comic! We'll brainstorm topics your comic can be about, go over the process from rough draft to final copy, and why you can create a comic regardless of your skill level!
When not working in the Sycamore branch's Homework Help Center, Jess creates zines long-form comics. She went to school at Wittenberg University where she did her thesis on comics, then went to California College of the Arts in San Francisco to obtain a Master of Fine Arts in comics. She believes comics can be created by anyone with any skillset--what matters most is a love to create and willingness to take risks!
