Learn about 3D printing and the Library's 3D Printer at this workshop designed for homeschoolers!
3D printing and modelling has real-world applications from science to fashion and beyond, and it uses skills from data science, geometry, engineering, and fine art! This workshop will give you the skills to find pre-made 3D print designs or create your own using 3D modelling software. This workshop includes a hand-on activity and encourages students to think about how they can use 3D printing in and out of the classroom.
You'll learn about how 3D printers work and about the Library's 3D Printing Service, which allows anyone with a library card to use our 3D printer. You'll also get the chance to watch a 3D print happen in real time, and submit your own designs to be printed. With 3D printing, you can create minis, useful tools, and so much more.
