Enjoy rhymes, songs, and pretty language? Ever wanted to know what a "villanelle" is? ...Forget to write a Valentine's letter for a loved one? Then this is the class for you!
A lot goes into a poem; from word choice and rhymes, to the syllabic structure of sentences, to the overall meaning of a poem. It can almost be overwhelming to think about it. The truth of the matter is that anyone can be a poet! There are many different kinds of poems that we will go over, and we'll go into the parts of a poem, but most importantly, we'll figure out how we can express ourselves!
Also, it's Valentine's Day soon. Write a beautiful poem for a loved one in your life to tell them how much they mean to you! Art supplies and paper available, just bring your creativity.
