Join us for this month’s Podcast Club as we discuss two podcast episodes investigating the Kirtland Cult Killings. In 1989, self-proclaimed religious leader Jeffrey Lundgren orchestrated the murder of a family of five. Claiming divine authority, Lundgren convinced his followers that the victims were a threat, leading them to carry out the killings in a barn on his property.  The crime drew national attention for its disturbing mix of manipulation, extremism, and violence.  The case remains one of Ohio’s most infamous examples of cult-related violence.

Together, we’ll explore how each podcast tells the story, the investigation that followed, and the broader issues raised by this horrific crime. Come ready to listen, reflect, and share your thoughts in a respectful group discussion.
