Conference RoomA leadership group where teens grades 7-12 help shape library programs, services, and collections while connecting with peers and gaining valuable experience.
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teenage volunteers who collaborate with library staff on programs, services, and resources relevant to teens. The primary goal of a Teen Advisory Board is to give teens a voice in shaping the library's offerings, ensuring the library remains engaging and responsive to the needs of its younger customers. Members share ideas, help plan teen events, suggest new books or media, and make a difference in the community, all while developing leadership and teamwork skills.
TAB is open to all teens in grades 7-12. Through this process, teens will sign up as volunteers and earn volunteer hours if needed. Teens may join TAB at any time throughout the year.
Meetings will occur on the last Tuesday of each month at both locations from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Teens should choose one location, either Pickerington Main Library or Sycamore Plaza Library, as their home base for TAB and attend all meetings there.
