Experience nature, guided hikes, presentations, displays, food, and fun at Coyote Run State Nature Preserve!

Join us at Coyote Run State Nature Preserve for the 3rd annual day-long program of nature-themed displays, presentations, and guided hikes. Experts from agencies, organizations, businesses, and schools are coming together to share their knowledge with you. Conservation is the responsible use of natural resources. Preservation is the protection of nature from human activities. Restoration is needed when conservation and preservation efforts are either ineffective or absent. Coyote Run and Fairfield County Park District have teamed up to educate people about those three important things!

Go Wild! A Nature Fair proved to be one great way to do just that.

📌 REMINDER – This program is being held in Coyote Run State Nature Preserve, a private nature preserve. We should not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life.

What to Bring - Portable water is not available at this location; bring your drinking water. You may also want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.

Pets - Pets are never allowed in nature preserves.  Please do not bring pets to this event.

Trails & Off-Trail - Trail conditions vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy or slippery conditions.  Some of the hikes will be off-trail.

Before You Go - If severe weather is forecast or before traveling a long distance to attend, it is recommended that you check to be sure the program has not been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled. It is best to check the program in the Events section of our Facebook page, our website’s Calendar of Events, or call 740 652-4422 or 614 321-4833 ext 103.
